Born and raised in New Jersey, Greg Contaldi attended West Essex High School, where he founded The West Essex Film Festival. Notably, the festival welcomed back alumni, David Chase (creator of HBO's "The Sopranos"). Greg studied at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Following graduation, Greg began his career at The Dr. Oz Show, where he served as an associate producer on the show's expanding True Crime Team. Greg was recognized by The National Academy of Television Arts and Science for his contributions to the 2017-2018 season of The Dr. Oz Show, which won The Daytime Emmy Award for Best Informative Talk Show. In 2020, Greg helped launch The Drew Barrymore Show, amid the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Serving as a segment producer, he developed celebrity, lifestyle, and human interest segments.
