Overview
Yannick Kaftan studied film under the guidance of Prof. Pepe Danquart at the HFBK University of Fine Arts in Hamburg. Douglas is his graduation project. Douglas lives in a mobile home in a long term parking lot in the small town of Independence in California. The city is divided by the US Highway 395, one of the major routes that cross through the state. Doug spends most of his time behind the wheel of his truck, a Freightliner Columbia. As the American landscape passes by, Doug ponders politics and life.
